Voice Care for Teachers in the University of the Assumption

Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales, together with Voice Care Executive Director Ada Cuaresma conducted the Voice Care for Teachers workshop as part of the In-service training of the University of the Assumption, Pampanga on June 1, 2015.

About 300 teachers gathered to learn about how to take care of their most valuable teaching asset. The 2-hour workshop started with the VoiceMaster talking about the Generation Z – the youth of this generation that make up majority of the classroom population. He explained the different behaviors and lifestyle of these young people, so that the teachers can understand their students better.


Voice Care Executive Director Ada CuaresmaThis was followed by Voice Care Philippines’ Executive Director, Ada Cuaresma, who tackled the subject of vocal health. Ada discussed the threats and vocal demands being placed on the teacher’s voice. She also had the class perform exercises to practice and experience the process.


Towards the end of the workshop, the floor was given to the teachers to share their own stories of having voice problems as part of their vocation. The Voice Care team also announced their upcoming book, “Voice Care for Teachers” written by none other than the VoiceMaster.

The VoiceMaster Introduces the Generation Z to Teachers

Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales took a turn to Tagaytay to speak at the 11th Annual Conference of the Council of Deans and Educators of Business Region 4A, held at Hotel Dominique on March 6, 2015.


About a hundred educators of business and economics courses listened as the VoiceMaster shared his expertise about the Generation Z – the young generation that is dominating the schools and classrooms of the modern times. He talked about their characteristics, their demographics and what sets them apart from Generation X and Generation Y. He also discussed the effects of modern technology on the behaviour of the Gen Z’s, and how they could learn best in the classroom.








 The VoiceMaster also talked about appreciation for the teacher’s voice, their most important tool in teaching. He introduced the Voice Care for Teachers program, one of his biggest advocacies in supporting the teachers of the country.

Voice Care for Teachers in Iloilo

More than 200 teachers from Iloilo National High School gathered on February 28, 2015 to hear Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales speak, and this time, it’s all about taking care of a teacher’s most valuable asset – the VOICE.








 In his Voice Care for Teachers workshop, Pocholo discussed the factors that affect the proper and efficient production of voice, such as breathing and correct posture. The teachers were asked to perform breathing and posture exercises that they can do on a daily basis to aid them in projecting their voice while teaching. He also discussed tips on how to preserve the voice and how to speak in a manner that does not strain the vocal cords.


The teachers were also given the chance to share their experiences with voice problems in their years of teaching. At the end, they were all grateful and empowered with the new information they learned about their primary tool in teaching.
