Voice Acting for Animation and Web Students in Pampanga

On March 14, 2015, The VoiceMaster visited the Holy Angel University in Angeles, Pampanga to share his expertise on voice acting for animation in the Creative Interchange program.

Dozens of students filled the academic hall of the school’s St. Joseph building to hear the VoiceMaster share his experience and expertise in the field of voice acting. They learned about Creativoices, the audio production company founded by the VoiceMaster, as well as the Voice of the Youth Network, the volunteer youth organization founded to inform, inspire, involve and empower the Filipino youth through media and ICT.

The VoiceMaster showcased his talent by performing different voices onstage – from famous commercials to anime characters that he voiced over the years. He also performed a live radio drama in front of the audience. He then showed videos of the video games he has voiced and directed, particularly for Sega games.

 The talk was capped off with a voice acting contest, where some members of the audience showed their voice acting talents. They were awarded with a scholarship to Voiceworx, Creativoices’ basic voice acting and dubbing workshop.

Voiceworx Caravan Invades Lucban, Quezon

Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales took his entire team of voice acting trainers, as the Voiceworx Caravan workshop landed in the friendly province of Lucban, Quezon.

Hundreds of communication students from Southern Luzon State University filled the AMVI Building where the workshop was being held. The workshop started with a motivational talk from the VoiceMaster, where he shared his experiences and expertise in voice acting. He even entertained the students by doing the voices from commercials, cartoons and video games he has voiced.

The VoiceMaster’s talk was followed by the workshop proper, with topics ranging from vocal warm up, radio drama, voice acting basics and what it takes to be a voice artist.

The workshop ended with a fun-filled song and dance numbers from some members of the audience, and even from the speakers themselves.

Voiceworx Caravan in St. Dominic College Cavite

On February 19, 2015, the VoiceMaster and his Voiceworx Caravan team visited St. Dominic College of Asia in Bacoor, Cavite for fun-filled day of voice acting workshop.

Dozens of students taking up Communication courses attended the workshop. The students witnessed the VoiceMaster’s talent in voice acting, and also heard his words of inspiration on how powerful the voice and communication is. After his talk, the rest of the Voiceworx Caravan team – members of Voice of the Youth Network and broadcasters of their own respective radio programs under VOTY – each took the stage and shared their own experiences, and taught voice acting basics to the workshop participants.

The day ended with the students taking their stab at voice acting by doing a live radio drama in class.

Voiceworx Caravan: The VoiceMaster in Marinduque State College

Another group of communication students were inspired and motivated by Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales, this time in the beautiful island of Marinduque. On February 13, 2015, the Voiceworx Caravan happened at the Tahanan ni Isok Hotel and Resort, which was attended by 180 Communication students of Marinduque State College and some teachers.

Voiceworx Caravan is a one-day voice acting workshop and motivational seminar led by the VoiceMaster in different schools all over the Philippines. Students learn the art of voice acting, and they also discover the dynamism of their voice. Their learning from the workshop can be applied not only in the field of voice acting and voice overs, but also in broadcasting and public speaking.

 The VoiceMaster not only shared his experiences as a voice artist, but he also shared his expertise on personal branding, and encouraged the students to establish their own brand even at their young age. His inspirational words truly made a mark in the hearts and minds of the students.

 After two months of rigorous yet fun training, the 26th batch of VoiceWorx: Voice Acting and Basic Dubbing Workshop has finally made it to the graduation day. That means these aspiring voice artists are now one step closer to their dreams.

CreatiVoices welcomes VoiceWorx 25 participants

In time for the rainy season, CreatiVoices Productions welcomed participants of VoiceWorx 25 with warmth, July 6.

  A total of 28 individuals, including students, professionals from different fields, and voice over practitioners who want to have formal training on voice acting, joined forces and accepted the challenged. They embarked on a journey to learning the art of voice acting that will last for two months.

 And to start this new journey right, they had an orientation. Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales and Brian Ligsay were the facilitators for the day.

 And of course, they were given some instructions on what to do for the next two months. These were some things they have to remember and practice so they can perform well in the course of the training. Of course, it would be better if they would continue doing them even after the training.

 Besides orientation, they also had their initial recording. It was some sort of diagnostics for them so the instructors would know on which aspect to focus for each participant. It was also their first encounter with the microphone, which would be their best friend for the next two months.

 And since friendship also matters, they had some sort of “getting to know you” activity. It was for them to be more comfortable working with each other.

 Indeed, it was a great way to welcome the workshop participants.

Two months packed with learning, fun, and thrill passed too quickly and finally, another batch of VoiceWorx is over. Now, another set of passionate individuals are ready to face the world, carrying the learning they earned through the country’s most comprehensive voice acting and dubbing workshop.

 Watch out as another batch accepts the challenge and push their limits when VoiceWorx 25 begins
