The VoiceMaster Inspires the Scholars of Filipino Chinese Business Club in Commencement Speech

On April 23, 2016, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales was invited as the commencement speaker for the special graduation and induction ceremony for the scholars of Filipino Chinese Business Club. Thirty graduates, together with their parents, and the members of the organization gathered at the Sky One Tower in Binondo, Manila, to celebrate this significant event.

In his talk entitled “Passion Driven Life,” the VoiceMaster shared how to find life’s meaning by doing what you love and loving what you do. He shared his own story of how at a young age, he discovered his gift of voice, has committed his life to doing only things that would enable him to use his voice in order to make other people better and happy. The VoiceMaster then transitioned to talking about finding one’s purpose, and even shared the process of being able to discover your life purpose in as little as 5 minutes! This is done by answering 5 simple yet profound questions that allows a person to discover what they love to do and how other people can benefit from it.


After sharing his story, he encapsulated the life lessons he learned from his experience by sharing some of his personal quotable quotes, which he calls “Pochology 101.” His Pochology include words of wisdom on success, passion and commitment. He shared his favorite Pochology, “Availability is the best ability.” He reminded the audience that none of a person’s skills, talents or even values have any use if they are not present in the moment those skills, talents and values are needed.

Towards the end of his talk, he called onstage his son, Patrick Gabriel Gonzales, the country’s youngest broadcaster and motivational speaker. Patrick captivated and mesmerized the audience as he shared his principles for success. He wowed the crowd with his mature wisdom at the young age of 10!

The Filipino Chinese Business Club is a nonprofit organization that aims to contribute to the welfare of Filipinos through socio-civic advocacies such as education, disaster relief and support for Small and Medium Enterprises.

Management Training for Mikolas Trading Corporation

On April 20, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales conducted a whole-day workshop for the managers of Mikolas Trading Corporation.

Fourteen managers from the different departments of the company – Human Resources, Finance, Inventory, Production, etc. – gathered in the training hall for a Management Workshop that Pocholo conducted together with Voice Care Philippines’ Executive Director Ada Cuaresma.


The workshop started with a motivational talk from the VoiceMaster, who spoke about “Purpose-Driven Work”. He opened his talk by sharing his own story of how he lived his life by pursuing nothing but his passion, and doing only what he desires to do. He then shared the different principles that contribute to living a life of purpose and meaning – principles of success, attitude, goals, among many others.

After Pocholo’s very inspiring talk, Ada proceeded with an in-depth workshop on team effectiveness. The training was based on the 5 dysfunctions of a team, and how to resolve each dysfunction in order to become a more cohesive organization. Ada conducted a series of activities that help develop improve communication, handling conflict and being accountable. The participants were also given a chance to brainstorm and reflect on their learnings, and to also voice their concern regarding their challenges within the organization.


On the last part of the workshop, Pocholo shared what he called the “success checklist,” where he gave tips on how to set goals and achieve them. He also shared his quotable quotes which he fondly calls “Pochology”.


Mikolas Trading Corporation is a company that manufactures pet grooming products, like the Playpets shampoo. Its vision is to be the number one producer of consumer products in Southeast Asia.

The VoiceMaster Celebrates World Voice Day with a Voice Care Podcast

April 16 was World Voice Day. Every year, various organizations from all over the world hold different kinds of events like seminars, workshops and concerts to celebrate the human being’s most powerful tool – the VOICE.

In the Philippines, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales celebrated World Voice Day by releasing a podcast that pays tribute to professional voice users. In his 7-minute podcast, the VoiceMaster shared how important the voice is, and gave 5 tips on how to keep the voice healthy. From drinking plenty of water to getting voice training, his valuable tips on taking care of the voice will surely go a long way for those whose occupations rely mainly on their voice.


The VoiceMaster’s podcast aired in VOTY Network’s radio programs – Radyo Kabataan and Paaralan ng Buhay in DZXL, and Voice of the Youth Radio and Generation Y&Z Radio in DZIQ. World Voice Day was also celebrated in the Sunday program, School of Life Radio, where the guest is World Voice Day National Coordinator and classical singer Camille Lopez-Molina.

PUP AIESEC’s Youth Leadership Development Seminar

AIESEC Polytechnic University of the Philippines held its second Youth Leadership Conference on April 2, 2016 at the PUP Theater, College of Communication in Sta. Mesa. Around 200 students from different schools all over the Philippines joined this one-day event which aimed to empower the youth and train them to be relevant leaders of the nation. With its focus on bridging the gap between social classes and cultures, YLDC featured speakers who spoke about the theme.

Voice Care Philippines Executive Director and Pochology Academy trainer Ada Cuaresma was one of the speakers in the first half of the seminar. She gave an inspiring talk which invited the participants to think about themselves and bridge the biggest gap anyone could ever face in their life – where they are and where they want to be. Ada encouraged the students to discover their life purpose, and shared her own personal journey on how she was able to find hers through the use of her voice in training and motivational speaking.


Ada gave the participants simple steps on how to discover their life purpose with the use of 5 questions. After which, she also encouraged the participants to believe in their capacity for pursuing their dreams. She explained how everyone is designed to succeed, and that nothing is impossible as long as we believe it.

The VoiceMaster Talks About Voice Acting in Hosting for UST’s Tourism and Hospitality Students

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the University of Sto. Tomas held a Hosting Seminar at the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building. About 50 students from the college attended the event to learn about the various facets of becoming a great host for events.

Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales spoke about the art of voice acting, and the power of the voice in events hosting. He started by sharing his experience as a voice artist, and how he expanded his skills and talents in voice by venturing into dubbing, radio drama, voiceovers and live events hosting. Of course, his story would not be complete without giving a “sample” of the character voices he has done.


Pocholo also inspired the students to aspire for greatness and excellence in their craft, regardless of which one they choose. He shared how he looks up to National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, who believed that the youth is the hope of the nation. But for Pocholo, he believes that now is the time for the youth to be the REALIZATION and not just the hope.

The half-day hosting seminar featured 4 other speakers – JC Garcia, Vet Lauzon, Jennifer Rabe and Martin de Vera. All of them are members of the Microphone Club, an organization of professional microphone users (hosts, voice artists, broadcasters, public speakers, etc.) whose mission is to professionalize their craft through training and peer-to-peer mentoring. Microphone Club is also founded by the VoiceMaster.

Pochology Academy’s Public Speaking Talk for UP’s Alternative Class Learning Experience

On March 31st, the University of the Philippines, Diliman held an afternoon of Alternative Class Learning Experience all over the campus. This is an opportunity for the students to attend mini-workshops and classes that are relevant to life skills they need and want to develop.


Voice Care Queen Ada Cuaresma Talks About Public Speaking


One of Pochology Academy’s trainers, and Voice Care Philippines’ Executive Director Ada Cuaresma was one of the speakers of the ACLE organized by the UP Association of Civil Engineers. In the seminar dubbed as “PUMP UP 2016,” Ada conducted a workshop on public speaking, and how the students can use the skill in their student and professional lives.


UP ACES PUMP UP 2016Ada started by sharing her own story on how she became a public speaker – from taking up a Voice Acting workshop, to volunteering her voice for various advocacies through radio broadcasting, training and motivational speaking. She shared how she has found her life’s calling through public speaking, as she feels a strong mission in her heart to use her voice to inspire and motivate others. Ada motivated the students to do the same, and to not let fear stop them from pursuing what they would like to do.


Ada transitioned into discussing the basics of public speaking – the reasons why people fear speaking in public, how to use the voice effectively in public speaking, and how to connect with the audience when speaking. She also shared about their volunteer organization, Voice of the Youth Network, and invited the participants to join in their advocacy on giving the youth a voice on issues that affect them.


PUMP UP 2016 also featured 2 other speakers, who spoke about Business Writing and Financing.
